Viet X. Do is a Partner at Emergence Financial Corporation, bringing more than 30 years of experience in business management, accounting, taxation, and financial planning. He works closely with high‑net‑worth individuals, family offices, entrepreneurs, and professionals across the U.S. and internationally, helping clients navigate complex financial decisions with clarity and confidence.
Throughout his career, Viet has held senior leadership roles, including Partner, CFO, COO, and General Counsel for multi‑million‑dollar companies in industries such as entertainment, apparel, hospitality, real estate, and technology. His experience ranges from overseeing day‑to‑day financial operations and cash flow management to leading mergers and acquisitions, conducting due diligence, and implementing internal controls at both private and publicly traded companies.

He is known for being calm under pressure, highly responsive, and deeply invested in his clients’ long‑term success. Viet holds a B.B.A. with double majors in Accounting and Finance from Southern Methodist University and a Juris Doctorate from UCLA School of Law.

Lucia Mier
Partner
Lucia Mier is a Tax Partner at Emergence Financial Corporation and a highly accomplished accounting and business management professional with over 20 years of experience in financial operations, tax preparation, payroll, bookkeeping, and office administration. She leads the Sherman Oaks office, overseeing daily operations across multi-state EFC locations and ensuring both clients and team members receive exceptional, responsive service.
Lucia brings deep expertise across a diverse range of industries, including entertainment, real estate, Professional service, medical and dental practices, startups, cannabis, and retail. She partners closely with clients to manage financial operations, deliver strategic tax planning, prepare accurate financial reports, and maintain compliance with payroll and sales tax regulations. Known for her hands-on approach, Lucia serves in both CFO and CEO capacities for several client organizations, providing strategic guidance that helps businesses grow with confidence.
In addition to her client work, Lucia is a dedicated community contributor. She serves as Treasurer and a board member for a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, where she supports financial oversight and long-term sustainability.
Bilingual in English and Spanish, Lucia is committed to making financial services accessible and approachable. She is highly proficient in leading accounting and tax software platforms, including QuickBooks, Lacerte, ProSystems, Axcess, and ATX, as well as Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, and emerging AI tools. Clients and colleagues alike value her attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and her ability to navigate complex financial matters with clarity and professionalism.
Lucia holds an Associate of Arts in Business Administration from Santa Monica College and a Bachelor of Science in Accounting from California State University, Dominguez Hills, building a strong academic foundation for her career.
Outside of work, Lucia enjoys spending quality time with her family, traveling with her two kids, reading, and caring for her lively household, which includes five dogs and two horses.
